Windsor Castle is well worth a visit. Loved the dolls house, the audio tour and looking at the architecture/contents of the castle. We found the emails from Headout a little confusing. Some said we needed to print off the tickets, some said to use the app. We were a bit worried that it was a scam.

Comfortable bus. Driver Patrick and guide Chrissie friendly and Chrissie knew a lot about all the sights. Everything was well organized. Despite not being able to go to Oxford due to a blowout on the highway. Fortunately Patrick was able to stop the bus on an emergency lane. Waiting for new transportation took time and it was too late to go to Oxford. Even so, we were still on the road for 11 hours. We were to receive a refund from the bus company. This was also arranged the same day. Too bad v Oxford, can happen and handled well and quickly.

The sights were spectacular. I bought my ticket from the app, which did not make it clear that I had to buy another ticket to tour the Roman Baths, so all I did was walk around and admire the architecture of that pretty little city. More time needs to be given to the visit at Windsor Castle because I only had time to see two things: the chapel and Queen Mary's apartment.

That's what we needed: I think that paying the single ticket isn't sometime worthy for some attraction but the London ticket prices was fair enough.

The pass allowed for spontaneous planning and enabled easy access to multiple locations through one ticket. I loved the variety of options and how clear the instructions were.

In contrast, late autumn and winter provide a peaceful escape, perfect for leisurely exploring the castle and town without the usual hustle and bustle.
  • Best season: For the ideal day trip, late spring (April to June) and early autumn (September to October) are the best seasons. During these months, you'll enjoy mild, pleasant weather, perfect for wandering through Windsor's stunning parks and gardens while steering clear of the summer tourist crowds.
  • To catch the best events: Want to soak up the magic of Windsor? Aim for a summer visit when royal ceremonies and exciting outdoor events light up the town! Or, swing by during Christmas for twinkling decorations and festive activities that add a sprinkle of seasonal charm to your experience.
  • When are daylight saving hours? In the UK, daylight saving time begins on the last Sunday in March and ends on the last Sunday in October. This change provides longer daylight hours, making it ideal for sightseeing and enjoying outdoor activities in Windsor.
  • To avoid heavy crowds: For a more peaceful experience, consider visiting Windsor on weekdays instead of weekends or during school holidays. Arriving early when attractions open is another excellent way to sidestep crowds.
