Meet at Euston & board the "Hogwarts Express"

Your journey begins at the Euston War Memorial, where your coordinator awaits. You’ll receive your train tickets and enjoy a stress-free 20-minute journey to Watford Junction. From there, a dedicated shuttle bus, decked out in Wizarding World graphics, transports your small group directly to the studio gates.

Step through the Great Hall doors

After a brief introductory film in the cinema, you’ll stand before the massive oak doors of the Great Hall. Your guide will share production secrets about the floating candles, the real stone floor, and the costumes worn by the faculty, providing context that breathes life into this iconic set.

Wander the Forbidden Forest and Diagon Alley

Follow your guide into the depths of the Forbidden Forest to meet Buckbeak and Aragog, before emerging into the cobblestoned Diagon Alley. You’ll learn the architectural secrets behind Gringotts Bank and Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, discovering how the designers used forced perspective to make the sets look larger on screen.

Discover the secrets of the Creature Shop & Art Dept

Move behind the scenes to see the animatronics and prosthetics that created Dobby and the Goblins. Your guide will explain the transition from practical effects to CGI, showing you the intricate scale models, including the 1:24 scale model of Hogwarts Castle used for every aerial shot in the films.

Free time for Butterbeer & shopping

Once the guided portion concludes, the magic doesn't end. You’re free to grab a frothy Butterbeer at the Backlot Café, or browse the massive Studio Shop for exclusive wands and house apparel before taking your return train to London at your leisure.

Guided tours vs. self-guided tours

Guided tours

  • Live expert insights: Your guide is full of fun facts, trivia, and production stories. You’ll get real-time explanations that go way beyond the official signs or video displays.
  • Personalised walkthrough: Each space is explored with a live commentary in English, and some tours include multilingual headsets or scripts to follow along easily.
  • Deeper engagement: Ask questions, chat with your guide, or hear cool fan theories and facts that change how you see each prop or set.

Self-guided tours

  • Full freedom: Explore at your own pace, whether you want to spend 20 minutes in the Gryffindor common room or skip straight to the Hogwarts Express.
  • Flexible timings: Self-guided tickets often let you choose from a broader range of entry slots, perfect for those on a tight schedule.
  • Official digital guides available: If you want context while wandering solo, there are official digital guides or audio headsets available at the entrance.
  • Ideal for returning fans: If you've already done the full tour, a self-guided visit gives you space to revisit your favourite parts in your own time.

Guided tours sell out months in advance! Book early to secure your small-group spot and enjoy skip-the-Line entry—the only way to ensure you spend your day with the props, not the queues.
